Need gun shot sounds.

I'm desperately searching gun shot sounds for post editing.

I need sounds for following guns:
- Beretta 92FS (9mm)
- SIG P228 (9mm)
- SIG SG550 or M16 (assault rifle)
- MP5A3 (9mm submachine gun)

If you have any idea where I could find those sounds, I'd be glad if you could post an URL or send me the sounds to [email protected]

Don't know how specific you want the sounds to be, but if you just want generic blasting, buy yourself a copy of Grosse Pointe Blank. The end gunfight has no music on it and lots of cool sounds that I pinch for all of my projects.

just enter 'sounds' , 'sound effects' as a search on any search engine and they will link to that. BUT if u wanna be cheaky, get a game like quake / soldiers of fortune / doom etc etc on the PC, look in the program files folder and steal the sound effects from the game!!

I hear the "Door" sound effectsin Doom on TV quite a Lot...

If you want, I have a program that can extract the sound effects from Doom, and I can save them, mail you a disk/Wav files you can use...


Just DON'T tell people I did it - I would like to keep my freedom...

Thanx a lot for all these replies! I'm working as a volunteer for a major computer game/software company and I own some games that have real cool sounds in it (SWAT3 / Half Life / OP4 / Rogue Spear) but I'm a bit afraid of using these sounds since it may offend copyright laws.

However I'm sure to find something on the net that fits my needs.

In that case, why don't you ask them if you can use their sound effects?
That's what volunteering is for, to use their equipment / stuff, get whatever you can out of it and enjoy yourself!

I'm sure they won't mind you using some of their sound effects in a film!
Offer to give them a credit!

One of the best places to get gun sound effects on wav files is http://www.tidalwavs.com they have hindreds of movie sounds too from almost every film.
You may have some trouble with the assult rifle. If it has to be accurate you can often find good american gun sites with real sound effects, less chance of lawsuit too!
